General Pet Policy:
Lots of us love having a furry friend but pet ownership entails a lot of responsibility and risk. The fact is that almost all animals also inevitably cause some form of damage as well. Also, there is usually much more general wear and tear on walls and flooring in a home with an animal.
We have a general no-pets policy unless otherwise stated on a particular property or unless otherwise protected by law such as in the case of a certified service dog.
On select properties, we may allow pets and you may always ask if the property you are considering renting allows pets and if so what types of pets and breeds.
NO Pet Deposits but We Do Charge Monthly Pet Fees
Pet Fees are as follows (where allowed by law):
- Cats under 20 lbs $35 per month
- Dogs under 20 lbs $35 per month
We honor all service dog laws and do not charge fees in cases like these or where otherwise disallowed by law.
However, we will scrutinize these situations closely to ensure no abuse of the laws meant to protect the right to have a service animal. The same expectations of all pet owners would apply such as having the vaccination records and a license.
Dangerous Breeds Policy:
Where allowed by law we prohibit the following animals from being housed or for that matter being present in a building with more than 1 unit such as a multi-plex.
1. Pit Bulls
2. Rottweilers
3. German Shepherds
4. American Bulldog
5. Bullmastiff
6. Siberian Huskies
7. Labrador Retrievers
8. Boxers
9. Doberman Pinscher
10. Alaskan Malamutes
11. Chow Chows
12. Akita
13. Presa Canario
14. Japanese Tosa
Visiting Pets:
Please bear in mind our pet policy applies to your visitors as well.
We do not allow these breeds of dogs under any circumstances except where we are legally prevented from doing so. (Service Dogs)
In cases where dogs of this breed have legal protections under a service dog arrangement, we may (where legally allowed) require renters’ insurance, routine access to vaccination records, and a license.
Vaccinations and Licenses
- Where required by a local jurisdiction, licenses (copies of) are required.
- Vaccination records are required and must be kept current.
